Hi folks! Here’s a quick summary of what we discussed at the August leader meeting / Fall Product training session at IRSC.
We always seem to miss out on Adult Recognition since they come so quickly on the heels of cookie season. So we’d like to take a moment to remind everyone to be thinking about volunteers or groups that you think deserve some extra recognition. These awards follow the calendar year, so anyone who has exhibited outstanding service between last January and this upcoming December would be eligible for this season’s awards. You can read about the awards and their requirements here. Also, don’t forget that the Community Award, which honors a local business or other organization that supports Girl Scouts in our mission, is open for nominations all year long. Think about the host of your meeting location, or the host of a cookie booth that you particularly appreciate. You can submit an organization for a Community Award at the link below. And as always if you have any questions about Adult Recognition awards, please reach out to Joe at [email protected]
