Updates from Council…..
- We’re looking to merge recruitment events and cookie sales opportunities during cookie season to help increase traffic and bring more girls into the recruitment process. Who better to speak to the Girl Scout experience than our girls?
- We are hoping to find booths at the Fort Pierce and Tradition weekend markets.
- We have 2 new troops! Woohoo!
- Lots of back / missing patches have been shipped out over the holidays. If you are still missing program patches or last day / CFM patches, please contact Kristin.
Outdoor Programs!
Check the GSSEF.org website for some awesome upcoming outdoor programs! Space will be limited due to COVID, so make sure you sign up early!
Ingathering Updates!
GSSEF is unclear on whether we will be able to conduct a full overnight Ingathering event in March. In response, we are pivoting from a weekend trip to a day program on Saturday. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will be able to camp Friday night through Sunday morning if they plan on serving as camp staff to support the Saturday event and conduct a service project on Sunday. Space will be limited.
The day event will still be on March 27, and the price for the event remains the same: $25 per person. Canoeing and archery will not be available, due to COVID restrictions.
Adult Recognitions
Adult recognition is open for the year. If you have an adult volunteer whom you would like to highlight, please contact our Adult Recognition Manager, Ginger Miranda, or any of the service unit team for help. Adult recognition nominations are due March 15, but please don’t wait until the last minute to submit!! More info on adult recognition awards here.
Journey Help!
Jamie Turner is working up some events to help your troop complete a journey during COVID. She’s willing to come to your in-person meeting or pop up in your Zoom call. Materials are also available. Stay tuned to the Facebook page for more info.
