Here are a few notes from our June leader meeting:
- Summer Camp Closure – GSSEF has announced that summer camps have been canceled. They will be issuing refunds to anyone who had registered for one of the summer camp weeks.
- Ingathering 2021 – Gemini will be holding our 2021 Ingathering on March 26-28, 2021 at Welaka! If your troop has previously registered for Ingathering 2020, we will automatically credit your payment forward toward registration for 2021. If you would prefer a refund, please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist!
- Product Sales – All the patches, and reward exchanges are in. Please contact Paty to confirm your numbers and schedule a pickup.
- If you are interested in helping distribute thank-you notes and cookies to thank our business supporters in the community, please let Paty know.

- Recruitment – online recruitment is happening using the virtual Jump Start programs, which take girls through the experience of a girl scout troop meeting, including earning a badge, with the hope of channeling girls into new troops or filling in existing troop vacancies.
- Reopening – Things are slowly opening back up. As of today, in-person meetings can begin with limitations: no more than 10 individuals at once, including the adult volunteers. Council will be slowly opening offering events, keep an eye out here or on Facebook for dates!
- EOY Report – Just a reminder that your troop end-of-year report will be due June 30.
- Summer Funshine – Summer Funshine is ON for the summer. Check out this month’s Linking Leaders email for more info!
- Feeding Florida Together and BabyBasics Infant Supply Drive are still happening, if you are looking for a service project over the summer. See this month’s Linking Leaders for info!
- GSSEF Retail Do-Over Days – GSSEF retail stores are re-opening and are excited to offer “Do-Over Days” – four consecutive Satudays in June to make up for the celebrating we’ve missed.
